Though dead brain tissue cannot be restored, intensive rehabilitation can help many people learn to overcome disability. Intensive rehabilitation trains other parts of the brain to do what the damaged part originally did. This foundation is based on the concept that you can rewire your damaged brain cells to other parts of the brain and retrain those cells to work for you!
